Henry Robinson BSc MRICS

The principal and business owner, Henry Robinson, has been based in Frankfurt since 1987. After many years in senior managerial positions at various international real estate consultancies, in 2011 he set up Henry Robinson Consulting to provide an internationally orientated yet locally focused alternative to large, multi-national agencies.

Our firm is subject to regulation by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The RICS is the leading international organisation for promoting and enforcing the highest professional standards in the real estate sector. All members of the RICS are required to pass stringent entry examinations and keep abreast of current technical and ethical issues through an on-going program of  Continuing Professional Development.

In addition to being a Chartered Surveyor, Henry Robinson has the designation Registered Valuer, indicating particular expertise and experience in the valuation of commercial property.




Knowing the market value of a building or a plot of land is the basis of real estate decision making. We provide valuation advice to banks and financial institutions for lending purposes, corporate owners for accounting purposes and to investors to support decisions to buy or sell land and buildings. Our valuations are exclusively on the basis of the RICS Valuation Standards, referred to as the ‘Red Book’.  


We have a successful track record in running classical structured sales processes for investment properties. Through our many years of experience we have a deep knowledge of the investors active in the market and use state of the art database technology to record and monitor their requirements. This allows us to produce tailor made lists of potential purchasers for any class of asset. By then using best in class data room and design providers, we are able to ensure that the optimum outcome of a sales process is achieved. 


Whilst structured sales are the more visible, higher profile part of our investment business, we also act for investor clients in identifying properties before they officially come to the market and approaching the owner exclusively on their behalf. Particularly for non German investors, without local representation, the opportunity to acquire a suitable property in a more discrete, off-market situation is attractive. It not only reduces their risk of wasted time and due diligence costs but allows them to compete more equally with local buyers. In our experience purchasers are prepared to reflect this in their pricing and we have been able to conclude a number of transactions at prices which the sellers felt made going to the wider market unnecessary.


Most company’s core business is not real estate, yet most occupy, and sometimes even own, land and buildings. We understand these corporate end users will often have very different requirements and priorities to real estate professionals and we are experienced in helping resolve the particular range of issues these clients face. This can include corporate relocations, disposal of surplus property or arranging a sale and leaseback transaction.
